This policy explains what personal data SpaceAndSky collects when you visit spaceandsky.com, why, and the choices you have. Questions or requests: [email protected].
Who is responsible
The website spaceandsky.com is operated by SpaceAndSky, which is responsible for the personal data described here. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
- Technical data of your visit. Like any website, our servers and our security and delivery provider (Cloudflare) process your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse.
- Cookies and similar technologies, as described below, according to your choices in our cookie banner.
- Messages you send us by email or through our contact form: your name, email address and message, used only to answer you.
- Comments, if you leave one: the data in the comment form, your IP address and browser user agent (to detect spam). An anonymized string created from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it.
- Newsletter, if we offer one and you subscribe: your email address, kept by our email provider (Mailchimp) until you unsubscribe through the link in every email.
Cookies and your consent
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or refuse optional cookies by category: functional cookies that the Site needs to work, statistics cookies that help us understand how the Site is used, and marketing cookies used for advertising. Optional cookies are set only with your consent, and you can change your choice at any time through the «Manage consent» option on the Site.
Advertising by Google
The Site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown; without it, Google may show non-personalized ads. More about how Google uses data: How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Embedded content
Articles may include embedded content from other sites (for example videos or posts from YouTube or X). Embedded content behaves as if you visited the other site, which may collect data, use cookies and track your interaction according to its own policy.
Who receives data
We do not sell personal data. Data is processed by the providers that run the Site for us: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, Google (advertising), Mailchimp (newsletter, if you subscribe) and Automattic (Gravatar, for comments). Some of them process data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards the law requires, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep data
Messages are kept as long as needed to answer and follow up; comments and their data are kept as long as the comment is published; newsletter data until you unsubscribe. Cookies last for the periods shown in our cookie banner.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you can ask for access to your personal data, its correction or deletion, the restriction of its processing or its transfer to you, and you can object to its processing and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, in Greece the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).
Children
The Site is meant for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy, for example when we add a service. The current version is always on this page.
